This painting of Lohento Eskill was made by Gnonnas Pedro's son: Gilles Gnonnas. It was given to Eskill's family during his funerals the 8th of december 2006. Lohento was with Clement Melome, his old friend, the leaders singers of T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo. Lohento died at the age of 55.
In this picture, Lohento Eskill's sons.
After posting the 4th volume with Yehouessi Lepold, let's enjoy this "volume 5", recorded in 1978. Lohento's composition "Agbaza Min Nin" became famous in 1977 during the FESTAC, a live that I will post later. The song talks about the beauty of africam women's light-skinned. You can also recognize, in this LP, Tijani Kone's saxophone, just coming from Mali.

wow, the poly-ritmo train just keeps a-comin'.
Merci.
merci, merci, merci...
